This series of photo's is really interesting. were you in a park? I'd like to have seen a little bit more space on the right in the direction he/she(?) is looking but still like this, never seen a gorilla standing like this before.

Yes, I was at the Wild Animal Park, part of the San Diego Zoo. The park is located about 45 minutes from downtown San Diego.

I didn't have any more space for the left/right as there were many people standing around at the time I took this sequence.

Interesting story: All these primates looking at each other across a moat, Homo sapiens sapiens on one side and Gorilla gorilla gorilla on the other. The Gorilla watching us finally determines that the humans are boring, stands up, and waves her arm in a dismissive fashion (starting at the chest and moving away in an arc) and walked away from the humans.

It was an amazing 'human' thing to do.
